San Mateo, CA

This charming spanish traditional 1922 home received a full scale remodeling. The young owners worked with Pianta Design to re draw the interior layout and selecting all the built-ins and furniture. The result is a modern interior design in a Spanish home that combines contemporary aesthetics and functionality with the traditional charm and warmth of Spanish architecture. Elisabetta and her team focused on a neutral color palette featuring whites, creams, and light beige for walls and ceilings, creating a sense of airiness and light. Incorporating earthy tones and deep contrasts as accents, which are reminiscent of Spanish rustic interiors. All the furniture have clean lines and minimalist designs to create a sense of space and openness. All the windows and doors have been replaced with steel windows to create a sense of richness and elegance. Black and White contrasts are predominant in the structure.
